Alabama Duals High School Wrestling December 21, 2010

Many of the state’s top high school wrestlers will be competing on the Samford University campus December 22-23, when the Pete Hanna Center hosts the 2010 Alabama Duals.

In its second year, the Alabama Duals has already established itself as one of the state’s premier high school wrestling tournaments. Hosted by the Thompson High School Takedown Club, the Duals bring teams from all six classifications to Birmingham for a two-day, team wresting championship.

Last year, 30 teams from throughout the state participated in the inaugural Alabama Duals, which were won by Oak Mountain, which defeated Hoover High School 39-31 in the title match.

Participating teams, match times and ticket information will follow at a later date, but make plans to be at the Pete Hanna Center at Samford University on December 22-23 for the 2010 Alabama Duals.
