Akira's 10th Annual Fall Fashion Show September 23, 2012

In honor of its big 1-0, local fashion retailer, AKIRA is upping the scope and scale of its annual style extravaganza with its10th Annual Fall Fashion Show themed Métropolitain.

The event will benefit five local charities and is set for Sunday, September 23 at Grossinger City Autoplex (near North/Clybourn at the Cadillac entrance.) Doors open at 4 p.m. and the runway show begins at 7 p.m. The afterparty at Japonais kicks off at 9 p.m.

Vendors include:
Reyka Vodka, Peroni beer, Mionetto sparkling wine, Smartwater, Vitaminwater, Vita Coco, & Coco Café—and make your taste buds happy with bites from Union Sushi, Wow Bao, Argent, Peeled, Bridge House Tavern, Mezza Grill, South Water Kitchen, Moon Palace, Uncle Sammy’s, Hot Woks Cool Sushi, Staropolska in Logan Square, Indian Garden Restaurant, The Storefront Company, Baume & Brix, W Crossing, & Popchips.

The show will be hosted by Miss USA 2012 (Olivia Culpo) & emceed by Kelli Zink (CelebTV). Later, shop the looks you loved at our one-night-only pop-up store. All aboard!
Proceeds from Métropolitain will go toward the following local charities: Imerman Angels, Project Ladybug, Clara’s House, the Human Rights Campaign, & AKIRA’s Fashion Scholarship Fund.

GA ticketholders ($25 includes food and cash bar) will be entered to win Diamond Nexus’ Bella Donna bracelet (val. $2,680). VIP ticketholders ($125 includes runway seating, food and complimentary cocktails) will be entered to win Diamond Nexus’ Orion necklace (val. $5,154) & will have a chance to meet Miss USA 2012.
