Tons of purebred dogs and cats will be on hand at the world’s largest showcase of dogs and cats, “AKC Meet the Breeds,” in New York City on Saturday, October 20th and Sunday, October 21st from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, located at 655 West 34th Street (between 11th and 12th Avenues), Manhattan.
Presented by the American Kennel Club (AKC®) and The International Cat Association (TICA), the fourth annual “AKC Meet the Breeds” will showcase nearly 225 purebred dogs and cats, each in their own breed booths that will be decorated to depict the history and unique traits of each breed.
In addition to meeting the breeds, guests can enjoy a variety of games, giveaways, programs and demonstrations including dog and cat agility competitions, K9 search & rescue dog demos, a grooming techniques expo, feline fashion show and more! Additionally, unique pet-themed gifts created by more than 100 vendors will be available for purchase.
Advance tickets are available for $15 for adults and $10 for children under 12 at www.MeetTheBreeds.com starting on July 1, 2012. Tickets will be $18 for adults and $12 for children under 12 at the door.
