AKB48 Singapore Theater 'Live' Vol.10 NMB48, STAGE 1 December 3, 2011

NMB48 will be coming to Singapore for their first ever overseas performance outside of Japan. They are the youngest and newest addition to AKB48’s sister group, with an average age of just 14 years old. 16 members will be flying down to Singapore to perform.

Sister group of AKB48, NMB48 is similarly produced by the legendary Yasushi Akimoto. Following the footsteps to success, their debut single , ‘Zetsumetsu Kurokami Shōjo’ sold 218,000 copies on its debut week, making it to the best selling single on the Oricon weekly chart. They are also the second girl group to reach number 1 with a debut single. These girls perform daily at their NMB48 Theatre in Namba, Osaka.

About NMB48
"NMB" is the acronym for "NaMBa" in the Minami disctrict in Osaka, where the NMB48 Theater is based in.
The group started in 9th October 2010, with Mr Yasushi Akimoto as their producer. 25 members were chosen out of 7256 candidates from the audition, forming the 1st generation of the group.
