"AirBorn: Ovid's Avian Changes: Rene Stawicki" April 3, 2010

Metamorphoses, Ovid’s Classical masterpiece about the creation and history of the world, was the inspiration for Rene Stawicki’s dramatic allegorical paintings. Stawicki blends her own sense of imagery with Ovid’s words to present images of transformation and renewal through change. Reception on Friday, April 9 from 5 – 7 pm, free for Newport Art Museum members, $10 for non-members.
