Friends of Conservation is celebrating our 30th anniversary this year of work with the local peoples and partners in the Masasi Mara area of Kenya. The world-renowned Mara-Serengeti Ecosystem which spans the border between Kenya and Tanzania, is acclaimed as the eighth ‘new wonder’ of the world. FOC struggles daily to protect the Mara by teaching the Massai people sustainable economic practices, supporting youth education in our Conservation Clubs with over 25,000 children having participated since 1993, and by tirelessly opposing acts of environmental predation.
