AIGA/NY Holiday Party December 9, 2007

The New York Chapter of AIGA is hosting their annual holiday fundraiser with bigger, better, shinier holiday cheer for designers near and far.

John Hodgman will expertly lead a fast and furious auction of design originals including custom calligraphy by Marian Bantjes, a private tour of the MoMA Poster Collection, two tickets to the Philip Johnson Glass House, Your Pixel Portrait by Christoph Niemann, Michael Bierut’s Voice for your Phone Greeting, a Box of Goodness from McSweeney’s, an item from Chip Kidd, and more. (Don’t forget your checkbooks.)

After bidding on items, designers will be dancing their hearts out with DJ drew2. Delectable eats, necessary drinks, and more will complete the evening. Admission includes one free drink and original wrapping paper for holiday goodies of all shapes and sizes.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the AIGA/NY Mentoring Program, which pairs students from New York City’s High School of Art and Design with professional AIGA members.
