On April 27, AIGA Miami presents the “Common Underground”. For this event, come examine what 30 designers have discovered in their exploration of how words can become representative of a given country.
The exhibition is the result of Pedro Sarmiento’s project examining social issues. The project consists of 30 countries and having 30 words assigned to them. Theses words are chosen and meant to break social taboos. 30 designers were then chosen to each represent one country and the given word in a poster. Why a poster? One might ask, because it provides a 15-second message that if designed successfully, will most likely have an impact on the person viewing it.
The event is FREE and open to the public. AIGA invites anyone curious about creativity to be part of the conversation.
