AIGA CO Presents: Bordo Bello Charity Auction December 12, 2008

Italian for "Beautiful Board," Bordo Bello is a mentorship-based design initiative where students and graphic design professionals team up to design the underside surface of a skateboard deck to create a unique visual statement.

Sponsored by AIGA Colorado Mentorship, Core Action and Access Gallery, the boards will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the following charities: Youth Design Denver, Denver's own designer summer internship program, and Giving Voice — a public service initiative by AIGA Colorado and VSA arts of Colorado that pairs professional graphic designers with disabled teens to design public posters that convey some of the many challenges the teens face day-to-day living with a disability.

All skateboard decks will be exhibited and auctioned off at the Bordo Bello Skateboard charity auction at Access Gallery in Denver, on December 12, 2008.
