Rory McGuire of High Moon Studios will be presenting Agile in Game Development on Wednesday, 31 January 2007, at Qualcomm Auditorium from 7–9:00 PM.
Rory McGuire, senior game designer at High Moon Studios, presents his perspectives on the effects of Scrum in a production environment.
Scrum, as an agile approach to game development, entails small interdisciplinary teams working on pieces of an entire project. High Moon Studios applied Scrum to boost productivity through better communication and greater project ownership.
Drawing from his experience, Rory McGuire will discuss the good, bad, and ugly; provide an overview of the process and its application to development; and deliberate on how the studio is affected on a daily basis.
Rory McGuire is Senior Game Designer at High Moon Studios, where he worked on the studio’s debut title Darkwatch. He is working on an unannounced title for next-generation consoles. Previously, he was an editor for Firing Squad.
