Rick Ross ruled Miami’s underground rap scene, and then came out of the shadows to make the three biggest scores of his career, when his first three albums all entered the Soundscan chart at No. 1 in 2006 (Port of Miami), 2008 (Trilla) and 2009 (Deeper Than Rap). His hit singles include “The Boss,” “Hustlin,” “Push It” and “Super Jam” from his current release, Teflon Don.
Already proven as a talented, sought after songwriter and revered platinum-selling artist, Marsha Ambrosius reinvented herself as a solo artist with her J Records debut disc Late Nights & Early Monrings. Fans first got a taste of Marsha’s talent as the singing half of the duo Floetry. Their 2000 debut Floetic produced signature singles like “Say Yes" and "Getting Late" as well as four Grammy nods.
Signed to Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group, Wale’s new album, Ambition, arrives this fall with its first single "Bad Girls Club," featuring and produced by J. Cole. His debut album Attention Deficit was released in 2009 with the singles “Chillin,” “Pretty Girls” and “World Tour”.
Miami-based DJ/producer DJ Khaled is a member of Fat Joe's Terror Squad and released Listennn: The Album in 2006 where he utilized his connections to snare the likes of Beanie Sigel, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Paul Wall, Young Jeezy, Slim Thug, Trick Daddy, and Clipse for guest appearances. His current release is 2011's We the Best Forever.
Miami rapper Ace Hood latest hit is "Hustle Hard," the lead single from his upcoming third album, Blood, Sweat & Tears.
With two Rick Ross-featured singles (“Tupac Back” and “I’m A Boss”) Meek Mill’s DJ Drama-hosted mixtape, Dreamchasers, is poised to push the Philadelphia MC to new found heights.
