AFW – Armed Forces Week in Blackpool promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Monday 25. Blackpool joins the nation in raising the flag at Blackpool Town Hall from 10am.
Monday 25. Music for Heroes at Opera House. Free admission from 7.30
Mon25 – Fri 29. Going to the flicks – a wartime documentary for school children. Invitation only. Please ask for details
Blackpool Catholic Club, British Legion Club, Layton Institute, Marton Institute all welcome our forces and Veterans with special evenings of entertainment. Please see web sites for more information nearer the time.
Wed 27 – Afternoon tea dance in Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Admission by ticket. Details to follow
Thurs 28 – Armed Forces and Veterans Dine for free at Buccaneer Bar. Booking essential. Details to follow.
Thurs 28 – Members of HM Armed forces invited to judge a heat of Miss Blackpool at Uncle Toms Cabin from 8.30 pm
Fri 29. – Fylde Memorial Arboretum and Community Woodland dedication service at Moor Park from 11:00

Sat 30 – National Armed Forces Day – events around the town centre.
Sat 30 – Armed Forces Day Gala Night in Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Tickets required.
Sun 1 July – Sunday morning service at Blackpool Cenotaph followed by march and parade. Assemble from 11:00
