Nathalie Andrews, Executive Director of the Portland Museum will speak about John James Audubon's time in Louisville. Audubon was a good friend of the Croghan family and often visited Locust Grove, even mentioning the family in his work, The Birds of America. The Portland Museum recently hosted an exhibit of artwork, "If Not Audubon, Who?" The theme of the 2007 Lecture Series is "They Came to Locust Grove - Interesting Visitors to the Home." The Locust Grove Afternoon Lecture Series is held the first Wednesday of each month. Dessert and coffee are served at 1:00 pm with the lecture immediately following at 1:15 PM.
