Afternoon Films - A Room With A View March 15, 2007

March is Request Month for the Afternoon Film Series presented by Williamsburg Regional Library. Films requested by library users will be presented in the Williamsburg Library Theatre, 515 Scotland Street at 2 p.m. The films are free of charge and tickets or reservations are not required. Thursday, March 15 A Room With a View (1986) Exquisitely proper British period film about the romantic travails of Miss Lucy Honeychurch (Helena Bonham Carter) who must choose between the charming bohemian (Julian Sands) she met on vacation in Tuscany and the stuffy but socially acceptable man (Daniel Day-Lewis) she is promised to back home. This Merchant-Ivory production was nominated for eight Academy Awards and has a great cast that includes Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and Denholm Elliott. NOTE: This film is unrated but does contain a brief sequence of male nudity.
