After Hours by Venus Zine at Beauty Bar! May 8, 2010

The recently re-launched Venus Zine, the leading source for women interested in emerging talent in music, art, film, fashion, and culture, presents its first installment of After Hours. To kick off the series, indie fan favorite, Frightened Rabbit, will be playing a rarely seen DJ set after their sold out show at Chicago’s Metro, alongside Pretty Good Dance Moves and DJ Amber Waves. With the recent release of the band’s new album Winter of Mixed Drinks, combined with the buzz of the newly re-launched magazine, the freshly opened retro-glam Beauty Bar will be a packed house. Also, in conjunction with the festivities, celebrate the birthdays of Venus Zine’s Editor-in-Chief Jill Russell and Music Editor Selena Fragassi, who will play host for the evening. There will be a $5 cover charge at the door.
