Spend an evening chilling to the sounds of classical North Indian music performed by Dr. Parag Chordia and his band. Dr. Chordia, who plays the sarod, is also the Head of the Music Intelligence Group at the Georgia Tech Center for Music Technology. He is also the founder of Bol Records, a music label that has produced albums by many leading artists of Indian classical music. When not on stage but in the lab, Dr. Chordia’s time is spent developing technologies for musical self-expression and researching the cognitive underpinnings of musical experience - particularly the neurological basis of ‘musical emotion.’ After Dark is for adults 18 years and older, and is included in the price of admission.
