On Thursday evening, August 2, 2012, from 6 to 10 pm, the museum invites space enthusiasts 18 years and older to come dressed as their favorite alien life form, robot or inner extraterrestrial, and engage in a celebration of all things Martian! Come and learn amazing facts about the red planet — like what would the air on Mars smell like, or how would a Frisbee fly through the Martian atmosphere? The evening will also include guest speakers, Mars-themed films and hands-on activities. After Dark is an evening series exclusively for adults 18 years and older. You’ll find an intellectually stimulating playground featuring a different theme every month. After Dark mixes cocktails and conversation with playful and creative science and art events.
