One of the most influential and creative hip-hop DJs ever, Bambaataa's own singles, such as 'Planet Rock,' and his collaborations with artists like Johnny Lydon and James Brown are endlessly inventive. Steinski is the alter ego of writer, DJ and record collector Steve Stein. Best known for 'The Payoff Mix,' Steinski and fellow producer Double Dee co-produced the 'Lessons' series, chronicling the evolution of hip-hop and has been an inspiration to such artists as DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist, DJ Format and DJ Bombjack. Steinski is also one of the DJs profiled in the documentary movie 'Scratch.' Daedelus has refined a style of experimental hip-hop productions that are all his own.
