African Gold: Selections From the Glassell Collection October 30, 2006

This exhibition presents a rich diversity of Akan gold work and royal regalia from Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire. Approximately 135 works of art - primarily from the region formerly known as the Gold Coast - include cast-gold or gold-leaf works such as jewelry, linguist staffs, swords, figurative sculptures and other regalia.
