African-American Champions of Nature January 17, 2011

The Museum commemorates Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with a variety of activities highlighting African American contributions to the field of natural history. Visitors can learn about agricultural scientist George Washington Carver's accomplishments, craft sea urchins while learning about marine biologist Ernest Everett Just, see live arthropods as part of a tribute to Charles Henry Turner and more.
