A four day Adventure Salmon Day Camp registration is now open to 4th and 5th graders June 24– June 27th, and a four day –three night The Adventure Salmon Overnight Camp is open to 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th graders August 12th-15th.
Adventure Salmon Camps begin in Belfair and travel in and around the Hood Canal Watershed. Campers experience different locations with diverse ecosystems while having fun exploring the nature that surrounds them. Their inner scientists emerge as they participate in activities such as snorkeling, fishing and kayaking. Campers get down and dirty investigating aquatic habitats at Hood Canal beaches and rivers. They also discover interesting critters while exploring the natural wonders of Hood Canal’s terrestrial habitats.
Campers have plenty of opportunity to get wet and have fun participating in art and games activities and learning traditional knowledge from our Tribal neighbors. Our Adventure Salmon Camps foster camper’s enthusiasm for lifelong learning, and nurture their inquisitive wonder and respect for our natural world. With our limited camp space, Adventure Salmon Camps fill quickly.
For registration details and more information call the Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group at 360-275-3575 or email chris@hcseg.org.
