The First Presbyterian Church of San Jose invites the community to enjoy a series of three complimentary simple suppers, followed by lectures on immigration by invited guest speakers. Audience participation and discussion is encouraged. Free child care will be provided at all three programs. Supper reservations and child care reservations are recommended.

The topic will be on the history of immigration in the United States, and particularly in California during the twentieth century. There will also be a quick summary of the current U.S. immigration policy and laws.

A Superior Court judge will speak about the impact of immigration on the criminal justice system. A speaker with a social services background will talk about immigration issues from the perspective of the government and non-profit organizations.
