California's Subdivision Map Act continues to evolve. This limited-enrollment interactive workshop focuses on the more complex aspects and problematic provisions of the Map Act. Participants hear the viewpoints of public agencies and project applicants and review recent case law and legislation. Instruction covers old maps, "takings" and the subdivision process, certificates of compliance, vesting tentative maps and development agreements, parcel mergers, and imposing conditions on development. The program also includes updates on implementing amendments to the Map Act that affect lot line adjustments. Recommended: Participants should have some grounding in the Subdivision Map Act.
