Join us in hands-on exercises and skills practice as you perfect your ability to:
* Assess the audience
* Prepare an impactful presentation
* Select appropriate language and content for the message and audience
* Manage nerves and use effective verbal and nonverbal communication skills
* Speak clearly and convincingly
* Improvise on the spot to answer tough questions
* Evaluate the effectiveness of a presentation
Participants will be videotaped and will receive constructive feedback in a supportive environment.
**Please come with a prepared 5 minute presentation on any subject of your choice.**
About the Presenter
Yael Schy, MSW, is a leader in using expressive arts in organizational learning and development. She is principal of Dramatic Strides Consulting,
specializing in leadership development, communication skills, teambuilding and creative decision-making techniques that help people and organizations move forward together. Ms. Schy also serves as a faculty member at the American Management Association and is a Certified Somatic Coach. Yael brings a unique perspective by combining 20 years of management experience with her background in improvisational theater and dance. Yael is co-author of the business book,Teamwork Tools: A Revolutionary Approach for Managers and Trainers.
