In this course for experienced photographers who wish to grow creatively, award-winning photographer Peter Brown will provide a basic critique of participants’ work and suggest directions for it. Participants will select a topic for assignment, bring their work to class, and listen and respond as the work is considered by the instructor and the class. Many past participants in this enjoyable, open and supportive class have had their work shown in galleries and published in magazines and books. Each session will include discussions on contemporary photography. Technical help will be provided, and all types of photography are acceptable, including film or digital, black and white or color, and slides or prints.

Prospective participants must obtain instructor approval to register for this course. If you have not taken Peter Brown's class before, you must submit a portfolio of at least 12 photos, a short statement outlining your experience in photography, and a brief description of at least one project you would like to work on during the course. You may put these items on a CD or print them out. Please drop off your materials at the Continuing Studies office.
