Despite years of interpretation by the courts, the Resources Agency, the Office of Planning and Research, and lead agencies throughout California, some age-old CEQA issues remain unresolved. This advanced interactive roundtable focuses on some of the most difficult, yet commonly recurring issues facing those involved in CEQA implementation. The goal is for seasoned professionals to share their expertise in addressing these issues and apply solutions to real projects. Those attending should have at least five years of experience managing, preparing, or reviewing CEQA documents, and an interest in addressing complex, practical issues. To ensure an opportunity for roundtable discussions, enrollment is limited. Specific topics are determined several weeks prior to the symposium and depend, in part, on input from those attending. Once you enroll, please email topics of interest to you and suggest additional workshop subjects to Director Catherine Showalter at cshowalter@uclaextension.edu. The instructors will review all topics and decide which ones are most applicable for symposium discussion. This is a unique opportunity to collaboratively participate in solving some of CEQA's most perplexing unresolved issues.
