Who:
Second Chance is a San Diego philanthropic organization committed to breaking the cycle of unemployment, poverty, homelessness, substance abuse and incarceration that plague our city. This is accomplished by offering job readiness training, job placement, affordable housing, mental health counseling, and case management to men and women who desire to change their lives.
What:
Second Chance provides nine sober living properties that allow residents to establish rent readiness budgets and practice independent living skills. Adopt-A-House volunteer teams help us maintain the unique value of these properties by performing maintenance and beautification projects on the homes.
When:
Saturday, May 16, 2009
9:00am-12:00pm
