Admiral Earth: a working title, the world premiere of an original, eco-friendly superhero rock opera.In the year 2053, the City of Chicago will find itself in peril due to over-pollution, an extremely evil doctor, and excessive throwbacks to the 1990’s. At least, that’s the plot of the upcoming original rock opera Admiral Earth: a working title. Written by Matthew Asciutto and Anthony Venturini, this show chronicles the journey of eco-friendly superhero Admiral Earth as he attempts to defeat the evil Dr. Greenhauseffect, save his true love (Mother Earth), and preserve the beauty of the one thing he holds most dear: the Brown Line. With music performed by The Earthtones, the production will be performed at Stage 773 from May 10th to June 7thevery Thursday at 8pm.
Tickets for Admiral Earth: a working title are currently on sale through the Stage 773 website. General admission is $15, with additional discounts available to students, teachers, and children ages 12 and under. Stage 773 is located at 1225 W. Belmont, just a few blocks west of the Belmont Red/Brown/Purple line stop.
