ADG Film Society and American Cinematheque present "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" September 21, 2008

The Art Directors Guild (ADG) Film Society and American Cinematheque honor Production Designer William Cameron Menzies, Art Director Lyle Wheeler and Cinematographer James Wong Howe with a screening of director Norman Taurog’s The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1938). This is the eighth film in the ADG’s monthly series heralding the work of Art Directors Guild legends. Tom Sawyer will be screened on Sunday, September 21, at 5:30 pm at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. A panel of industry professionals will be present to discuss the legacy of these three leading film narrative artists in a Q&A to be moderated by ADG President and Film Society co-chair, Tom Walsh.
