Design is all around you, even in the most unlikely places. Adaptation, Peacock Visual Arts’ contribution the Six Cities Design Festival, looks into the impact of design in everyday life. The streets of Aberdeen will never look the same again!
Adaptation examines the experience of design in everyday life, through interventions in public space, talks, tours and other events. Adams Akay and Made, Brett Bloom and Bonnie Fortune, Marjolijn Diiman, Brad Downey and Dominic Hislop will show related work in the Peacock Visual Arts gallery. Also on show is the ‘public embroidery kit’ by Ulrika Erdes, and Leopold Kessler's documentation of his interventions in public space. Booklets produced by some of the artists as part of their work will be complimented by a publication about the project designed by Bill Hayden and with an essay by Giles Bailey.
Exhibition Preview: 6pm-8pm, 4 May.
