Employing a quirky feel set around acoustic-based indie arrangements, Adam Green has quickly become an underground sensation with his ironic and left-of-center approach to his songcraft. One half of the gritty indie-rock pair the Moldy Peaches, Green along with vocalist Kimya Dawson made their mark on the New York club scene in the late '90s with their rigid and trippy style, highlighted on their 2001 eponymous release. Deciding to go it alone in 2002, the singer/songwriter debuted his solo effort, 'Garfield,' utilizing a lo-fi anti-folk method on the cuts 'Computer Show' and 'Her Father and Her,' while setting an infectious pop tone for the number 'Dance With Me.' Wry, irreverent and playful, Adam Green is the eccentric maestro of the neo-folk movement.

(think: Anti-Folk, who rock out)
Granted, I may be hella biased, BUT:
If you enjoy rapid-fire (and usually humerous) lyrics which depict seemingly ordinary events and occasionally spiral out into fantasticly surreal and philosphically curious conundrums; THIS BAND IS FOR YOU. for reals.
