Adam David Miller, Ticket to Exile January 26, 2008

Editer, Publisher, noted poet and writer and leader of the arts in California, Adam David Miller will be in conversation at Red Hill Books upon the release of his new slim, poetic, so utterly disarming memoir , Ticket to Exile.

Miller recounts a life, raised by a gritty, determined single mother (though a stepfather showed up sporadically), moving from house to house, barely scraping out an existence. His is more than a story of the recent Jim Crow South, but of a life forced into explicit deportation from what would otherwise be called third world conditions.
Adam david Miller has worked in California for 40 years as an educator, editor, publisher, poet, radio and television producer.
Everyone should be aware of the reconstruction of such a life and be inspired by this beautiful book.
