As part of the U of C SU's Political Action Week, an activist workshop is being offered by Albertan activist Mike Hudema. This is a free event, and everyone is welcome to attend. It is happening on Tuesday, October 25th at 4:00 in the Cassio A&B meeting rooms of Mac Hall, University of Calgary.
Biography: Mike Hudema works as the Jumpstart Ford campaigner for the International Human Rights Organization Global Exchange he is also an
activist based in Edmonton, Alberta.
Mike Hudema is a long time member of the Edmonton activist scene. He was part of a motley band of activists that took to the streets of
Quebec City for the FTAA protests. He slept on the steps of the legislature to protest rising tuition rates when he was President of the University of Alberta Students' Union, and he occupied Anne McLellan's office to defeat Canada's anti-terrorism legislation.
In his sparetime he co-hosts CJSR's alternative news program Rise Up: Radio Free Edmonton.
Recently he co-wrote the book "An Action a Day keeps Global Capitalism Away". The book is a collection of 52 actions to add to any campaign.
