Activist Grannies: A New Global Phenomenon November 2, 2012

Celebrate the launch of Grandmother Power, the new book by Paola Gianturco. A new, unheralded global grandmothers movement is changing the world: activist grandmothers are using their power to fight for peace, justice, human rights and a better world for grandchildren everywhere. This book includes 120 grandmothers’ stories in 15 countries on five continents. One hundred percent of the author’s royalties from Grandmother Power: A Global Phenomenon go to the Canadian Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign, which supports grandmothers in African countries who are caring for children orphaned by AIDS.
