The Media Theatre's popular acting and voice classes are educational, fun and assist with self-confidence and self-awareness as well as strengthening stage skills. No previous experience is necessary to learn from these helpful courses which also strengthen diction skills and the ability to speak in public or perform with strength in any career path while focusing on the basics of being on stage. All acting classes within The Media Theatre School of The Theatre are based on the Sanford Meisner Technique, which follows the mantra "Acting is living as truthfully as one can under an imaginary circumstance." This technique, developed by Mr. Meisner after he worked with the Group Theatre at New York City's Neighborhood Playhouse, was something he continued to refine for half a century. The technique is still part of a program at the Neighborhood Playhouse where The Media Theatre's Artistic Director Jesse Cline studied.
