Accident Investigation Orientation for Marine Professionals October 7, 2008

This course, led by senior NTSB management and investigators, details how the Safety Board investigates major marine accidents and what it expects of participants in an investigation.

Upon completion of this course, the participant will:

* Improve the preparedness of the accident response teams
* Learn to actively manage the on-scene situation
* Understand the NTSB authorities and procedures for Marine Accident Investigations
* Understand their respective roles in the "party process"
