Based on true events imaginatively brought to life in the book by Glen Pearson, “A Path Between Two Mothers”, ABUK: A Musical
is the inspiring story of the resilient Dinka people told through the life of one child and through the rhythms and music of Africa.

Born into slavery in the war-torn country of Sudan, Abuk loses her mother just as freedom is within their grasp. She struggles to survive, aided by a compassionate village woman who takes her in. But it is the magical reappearance of her mother and an unexpected opportunity that promise to change the life of Abuk, and those she loves, forever.
