By kind permission of the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) we are pleased to welcome the Absolution Saxophone Quartet.
Award-winning young ensemble, Absolution Saxophone Quartet formed at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in 2006 and studied with Rob Buckland, Andy Scott and Carl Raven as well as receiving masterclasses from the Habanera Saxophone Quartet and Vincent David. In September 2011 they returned to the RNCM as the first chamber group to be awarded a place on the Postgraduate International Artists Diploma course.
As well as competition success, the group regularly performs at a wide range of venues and occasions across the UK, including St. Steven’s Festival, ‘The Forge’, RNCM Chamber Music Festival, Swaledale Festival, Lake District Summer Music International Music Festival and numerous concert societies. The group has also performed alongside ‘House of Bedlam’ at the Whitworth Art Gallery as part of their UK tour.
Absolution especially enjoyed performing for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as part of her Diamond Jubilee tour in March 2012 after being selected to represent the Royal Northern College of Music.
