Dr. Matthew Pinsker, Chair of Civil War History at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania will speak in celebration of the bicentennial of the birth of Abraham Lincoln. Pinsker is Associate Professor of History, Pohanka Chair in American Civil War History B.A., Harvard University, 1990; D.Phil., University of Oxford, 1995.
He teaches courses in U.S. political, legal and diplomatic history. His research focuses on the career of Abraham Lincoln, partisanship in the Civil War era, American constitutionalism, the Underground Railroad and the history of U.S. campaigns and elections.
