The Vermont Foodbank and Hunger Free Vermont present "About Hunger and Resilience", a photography and audio exhibit by Michael Nye. Michael Nye is a nationally recognized photojournalist that has documented a variety of subjects over the past decade from his base studio in San Antonio, Texas. He personally develops his large format silver gelatin prints and accompanies each portrait with audio containing voice documentation of each subject.
In his exhibition About Hunger & Resilience, Nye traveled around the United States documenting individuals and families coping with personal hunger and the lack of food. The fifty portraits and audio stories reveal the courage and fragility of those individuals who have experienced hunger. In simple, eloquent detail, these voices and images draw you closer into their lives.
