Opening the show will be superb set by BASS CULTURE REVUE! This band is an original Alternative Neo-Soul band influenced by R & B, reggae, jazz, rock, Latin, West African, and ska. Besides picking from their catalog of 170 or so original songs, Bass Culture Revue also performs a few fine covers by the likes of Joss Stone and Corinne Bailey Rae.
A BASS CULTURE REVUE show opens with a short set by ABU & GARY on acoustic guitars and vocal, accompanied by Malian kamelngoni, calabasse or djembe, and Yoruba singer Kola Adesokan. This beautiful music establishes the roots of where the music of Bass Culture comes from. Next up icomes seasoned Trinidadian lead singer NEZ B (Ernesto Browne), followed by emerging phenomenon MORAIMA on lead vocals.
