'Abound Save a Leg' Campaign Public Forum - "These feet are made for walking...Caring for your feet" September 17, 2010

• Public forum– conducted in English– to provide members of the public with useful knowledge on diabetes and footcare, as well as proper foot wear

• Organized by Diabetic Society of Singapore and supported by the Podiatry Association of Singapore, established local doctor and podiatrists will cover topics from how diabetes affects the feet, diabetes and footcare, to a workshop on proper footcare and footwear

• As part of ‘Abound Save a Leg’ campaign initiated by Abbott Nutrition and Diabetes Society of Singapore to further reduce lower limb amputations due to diabetes, this public forum reinforce the importance of routine foot check as part of early detection and effective management of diabetic foot wounds and ulcers among patients
