Ableton Live Workshop July 24, 2008

Live electronica performers Pitch Black and Tom COSM present a free workshop covering how they use Ableton Live on stage. These two New Zealand-based acts have developed a formidable reputation in the Ableton community for their live performances, and also their willingness to share their skills and inspire others to explore the unparalleled creativity offered by Ableton Live. Both acts will demonstrate their performance setups and discuss their philosophies and techniques of performing live electronic music.

Topics covered will include: bringing your songs from the studio to the stage, building your Live Sets, MIDI controllers, freeing yourself from the computer, triggering video, and much more.

Entry is free to the workshop, which will run from 6:30 to 7:30pm, followed by an informal Q&A session, prior to performances by both acts later in the evening. Ableton will be supplying door-prizes to lucky attendees.
