
ABC'S OF CALL TAKING
The goal of this course is to provide the student with updated call-taking techniques to employ as a public safety dispatcher.
Students will be provided with an understanding of the importance and role the call-taker has in the public safety profession. The will receive information on advanced techniques to improve their call-taking skills: active listening, flexibility in their communication style to deal with a wide variety of callers, rapport builders, reassuring statements, and avoiding landmines.

APSD is an independent, non-profit association made up of fire and law enforcement communications center managers, supervisors, phone and radio dispatchers in San Diego County.
