The world's largest Beatles tribute festival, Abbey Road on the River, will bring five days of peace to National Harbor, MD. The Labor Day Weekend music festival will draw thousands of Beatles fans to the stunning Gaylord National Resort, which will be home base for festival bands and attendees, hosting five indoor and outdoor stages, seminars, and a Beatles merchandise market place. Festival highlights include a special presentation from original Beatles drummer Pete Best on his never-before-heard experiences with the band, a presentation from Gretsch owner Fred Gretsch, III, illustrations from famed animator Ron Campbell, on-site podcasts of the Fab Fourum talk show, and a huge selection of Beatles art and collectibles. In addition, on Saturday, September 4th Hal Bruce and his new band, Hard Dazed Knights, will perform 214 Beatles songs as one continuous medley with no breaks or intermission. The 30 performing Beatles tribute bands, from Mop Tops to Sgt. Peppers, represent countries from around the world including Italy, England, Germany, Scotland, Canada, and the United States. Fans will hear the entire discography of The Beatles from 1963's 'Please Please Me' through John, Paul, George and Ringo's final album together 'Abbey Road' (1970). For guests who love the music they made as solo artists, the event will feature special concerts dedicated to their careers after they became famous. It all "comes together" on the banks of the Potomac River, giving the attendees the ultimate Fab Four Weekend. Tickets purchased in advance include free admission for one 21 and under guest with each regular ticket holder.
