Aaron Sala - New Traditionalists February 8, 2008

Join this year's featured "New Traditionalist," Aaron Sala, and guests as we showcase Hawaii's young and talented artists.

The first half of the program showcases the "traditional;" from kahiko performed by Aaron, Kaumakaiwa Kanaka`ole, Hula Halau `o Kamuela, and Snowbird Bento and the Men of Ka Pa Hula o ka Lei Lehua; to Aaron's homeland of Samoa and his years at Kamehameha Schools, and to those that helped Aaron solidify his foundation like Mahi Beamer, Les Ceballos, and Robert Cazimero.

Our second half features the "new" with performances by Aaron with talented guests as Wainani Hansen (interpretive dance), Jeff Peterson (guitar), Bebe Freitas (piano), Natalie Ai Kamauu (vocals) and others as Aaron honors his thoughts, Waikiki, and his mentors.
