A2D2: Urban Design from Planning to Architecture October 19, 2006

Seminar #1 will be an introduction to the Urban Design series and include a presentation detailing how planning is distinct from architecture, including some basic terminology. The seminar will cover general concepts and then focus on building expression and contextual design for new construction and historic preservation. The Huron Valley AIA's Five Urban Design Principles will be reviewed with a look at how these principles can be implemented.
