A Year with Birds began as a way for local bird enthusiast Danny Shelton to spend time with his daughter, combining his interests in birding and photography with her enthusiasm for film-making.
A Year with Birds is an intriguing glimpse into the lives of Tennessee’s birds. The film shows over 60 beautiful bird species and explains how birds change season to season. It also explores the journeys of some birds that fly hundreds or even thousands of miles from other countries to visit Tennessee each year.
Copies of the film will be available for purchase and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the library. Danny also donates a portion of every sale to bird conservation.
