A Winter Harp Concert

Triskela Celtic Harp Trio -- Diana Stork, Shawna Spiteri, Portia Diwa -- will perform an uplifting concert of Celtic, holiday, and spiritual music to warm the heart. The healing properties from the sweet sound of three handmade lever harps (complimented by harmony vocals, Irish whistle, flute & percussion), will bring a sense of peace to your soul this winter season. The concert's location is the extraordinary space of St. Stephen's Church, known for its superb acoustics. For over 12 years, Triskela has performed healing music in sacred spaces, including Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, St. Mary Magdalene Church in Berkeley, and at the Chapel of Remembrance for the Memory Walk on Treasure Island. Come lend your spirit to this special holiday gathering!

More about the artists:

Diana Stork is well-known in the harp world for her unique style which incorporates ethnic and contemporary harp traditions. She has performed for such diverse groups as the Line's Contemporary Ballet and the Maihar Orchestra of Maestro Ali Akbar Khan. She can be heard on dozens of albums, including "Harpestry" on Universal Records, and "Sacred Light" on the At Peace Music label.

Shawna Spiteri has been performing as a singer and actress since childhood. With a degree in musical theatre, she has performed with such companies as the Peninsula Civic Light Opera, Marin Civic Light Opera, and The Enormous Ensemble. She directs Bella Donna, a Renaissance performance troupe.

Portia Diwa started playing harp at age 9 and has been actively performing ever since. She directs Bahia Vista Harp Ensemble, bringing Latin harp music to underprivileged youth in San Rafael. Portia supervises the Institute for Health & Healing's Healing Harp Program at California Pacific Medical Center.
