A Tribute to the Majesty of Thoroughbreds July 26, 2012

After the Finish Line hosts their biggest and most important fundraiser of the year on Thursday, July 26th from 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm at the Hilton Hotel in Del Mar. "A Tribute to the Majesty of Thoroughbreds" will raise money to help Thoroughbred Ex-Racehorses. We will host a reception with entertainment, silent and live auctions & dinner. Our Master of Ceremonies is Dan Cohen, KFMB Morning News Anchor. Our guest speakers are Laffit Pincay, Jr., Hall of Fame Jockey and Laffit Pincay, III, NBC Sports and HRTV Host. Our fundraiser is held during the Del Mar race meet and will raise awareness for the horses. After the Finish Line, www.afterthefinishline.org, is an all volunteer 501 (c) 3 funding non-profit dedicated to the welfare of Thoroughbred horses that can no longer race or breed. We provide year round funding to rescue organizations to save horses at auctions, to rehabilitate and re-train these talented horses for a second career off the racetrack. In 2011 we funded 70 rescue organizations helping over 300 horses. After the Finish Line will be a voice for Thoroughbred horses that are not supported when their racing careers are over.
